Watch the light poles on a Houston freeway as the lights on the zoo’s lighting system are lit up.
The lights on Houston’s light poles were put up for good on Sunday.
The zoo, along with the city of Houston and the Department of Transportation, is working together to get the lights up and running again.
The zoo says it’s a collaboration between the zoo and the city and has been operating under the same contract since 2010.
It’s the zoo that first started to use lights to illuminate the zoo in 2004, when the zoo was only using a light pole and the lights were set up for a short time.
The zoo had its first lighting outage on Feb. 15, 2015.
The light poles in the zoo are set up to reflect the natural light from the sky.
When the zoo opens its doors on Friday, a special light pole will be lit up and then all of the zoo will be visible in daylight.
At the end of each night, the zoo plans to light up the entire building.
